Title IX

Complaints made to Discovery Regional regarding discrimination on the basis of race, color, or  national origin in violation of Title VI, on the basis of sex in violation of Title IX, or on the basis of  handicap in violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, also known as Section 504, or the American  with Disabilities Act, or Title II will be processed in accordance with the following procedure: 

Any student, employee, or other person with a complaint alleging a violation as described above shall  promptly notify, in writing or orally, the appropriately designated coordinator for the school. If the  complaint is oral, the coordinator shall promptly prepare a memo or written statement of the  complaint as made by the complainant and shall have the complainant read and sign the memo or  statement if it accurately reflects the complaint made. 

Discovery Regional will follow Board policy concerning timeline, communication and final review of the complaint.
